HOW CLOSE?

PART 4: First Half Tribulation Events

We now have verifiable evidence of precursor events, designed and shared, to foretell and prepare our world to witness and experience God’s plans for redemption and spiritual reconciliation. (Matthew 24)

For those who trust in God’s Word and believe in His ‘Spirit of Truth’ (John 16:13), embodied by Christ Jesus, our example of moral and ethical behavior and understanding, let’s look more deeply.

Let’s learn the events and their order of occurrence so that we know what to expect, yet more importantly, how to prepare should our lives end before, during, or in the Tribulation years.

Scripture tells of seven (7) Seals, seven (7) Trumpets, and seven (7) Bowls or ‘Vials’. The Seals bind the ‘scroll of life’ held by Jesus. For only He is able to unseal this scroll. The first four (4) Seals describe the four horsemen of the apocalypse. The fifth Seal describes those in heaven who wait for the end. The sixth Seal describes a great earthquake. The seventh and final Seal denotes ‘a silence in heaven’ for one-half hour. (Revelation 6)

[My belief is this one-half hour will be two hundred ten days here on earth.] More on this thought later.

The first four (4) Trumpets harken destruction for earth’s inhabitants in the first half of the Tribulation (1260 days, 42 months, 31/2 years); the “Wrath of Christ” judgments. These four ‘judgments’ will be environmental calamities. These are by design for three reasons. First, for the many people who believe it’s just “climate change”. In much of prophecy, outcomes or fallout are brought to bear through circumstances familiar to us.

Many people will view these events as just “life being life.” As climate anomalies persist, leading to higher costs and widespread destruction, many will simply shrug and say, “It’s just climate change.” Governments and aid agencies will struggle to keep up with the growing demands and challenges that arise from this situation.

From lives lost, resources, or assistance needed. Many will die. Not only from storms, but from the lack of available on-site or follow-up care.

Third, many will attribute damage and destruction to God ‘not caring’.

These are warnings. Life will become more difficult as the tribulation unfolds.

Here is how scripture describes the first four Trumpet calls during the ‘Wrath of Christ’ destruction phase. Trumpet number one will unleash hailstorms and wildfires. Trumpet number two will poison much of the sea from volcanic eruptions. Third will be a poisoning of fresh waters (possibly due to radiation from a nuclear explosion). Fourth will be a blotting out of the sun, moon, and stars (ala, nuclear winter from the third Trumpet nuclear blast fallout).

The death and destruction will be horrendous. But nothing like what awaits those who miss the ‘Rapture’, refusing to surrender acceptance of God’s invitation for redemption and reconciliation.
