CH-CH-CH-CHANGES
Homage to David Bowie
The song "Changes" by David Bowie explores themes of personal transformation, artistic reinvention, and the inevitability of change.
The lyrics reflect Bowie's experiences with his own artistic evolution and the challenges of adapting to new styles and audiences.
The chorus, "Ch-ch-ch-changes," emphasizes the constant nature of change and the struggle to keep up with the times.
The song also touches on the frustrations of self-discovery and the fleeting nature of life, urging listeners to embrace change rather than resist it.
Overall, "Changes" serves as a poignant reminder of life's unpredictability and the importance of embracing the changes that come with it.
One of the most challenging realizations we face today is that everything we know and are familiar with can change quickly.
We witness this truth every day, both near and far. People are transformed by both evident and hidden prosperity and peril. The reality is that most events and circumstances in our lives occur without our input and are beyond our control. We do our best to respond and react based on the information we have or the experiences we’ve had.
Life can be altered in an instant—a sudden earthquake, an automobile accident, a cancer diagnosis. We are seldom truly prepared for these moments.
We see reports of mass casualty events in real-time through the media. In the back of our minds, we are aware of both large and small possibilities. However, our thinking is often dulled by the belief that “it won’t happen to me.”
Timing is crucial. How vital are preparation and timing in our lives? I often discuss the idea of having a “crystal ball.” Metaphorically, this crystal ball represents God’s prophetic word. Prophecy, like a proverbial crystal ball, reveals the future. However, the difference lies in God’s power and love for us, offering warnings about impending danger and guidance on how to avoid or sidestep potential destruction.
Jesus shares many promises and warnings with His listeners and followers. Nevertheless, life keeps us caught up in our daily choices and their consequences. The future often seems distant—something we can address when it arrives.
Prophecy aims to make us aware today of the approaching future and its significance. Interestingly, the most referenced and discussed figure in “end times” scriptures is not Christ Jesus, but rather Satan’s apprentice, the antichrist.
As students of prophecy, we receive various clues and descriptions of what to expect in the end times. Yet, a lack of awareness regarding God’s prophetic warnings keeps valuable insights about survival and surrender hidden ‘behind the veil.’
In my prophecy postings and the “Patient Zero” podcast episodes, I frequently reference the rise of the antichrist. However, of equal importance to the arrival of the antichrist is his eventual demise, which signifies the end of this world as we know it.
Again, timing and preparation are essential.
If this information is new to you, if you want to learn more, prepare, and witness God’s word being revealed in your lifetime, now is your opportunity. (Matthew 13:9)
